The Best Vegan Waffles

•400g (3 1/3 cups) all-purpose flour
•500ml (2 1/8 cups) plant based milk
•4 tbsp. sugar
•1 tsp. vanilla extract
•2 tbsp. applesauce(or 2 chia seed or flax seed “eggs”)
•1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
•15g (2 ½ tbsp.) baking powder
•Optional: a pinch of cinnamon


•In a large bowl mix together dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon). Then add wet ingredients (plant based milk, vanilla extract, apple sauce, apple cider vinegar) and mix until smooth (best with a whisk)
•Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot
